Wrapping up the week....the Saturday morning edition...a GORGEOUS home for sale.a song.I maybe laughed too hard.

Monday started off with 3 inches of snow....
...by Friday it was sunny and 63 degrees.
I absolutely love winter, but I am most definitely
ready for fresh air through my windows.

Cute little song ....because it's the weekend.

Jeff did not find THIS as funny as I did...I laughed so hard. Ha!
{..and anyone born after 1995 is like..Who is he? Why is that so funny?}

Anyone looking for a beautiful home?
Our dear friends are moving to Copenhagen! {insert crying emoji}
....and their GORGEOUS house is on the market.
I'm not just saying this because they are our friends..
....their house is AMAZING!!!

Happy Weekend.

We made bagels this morning. That's all.

Half the batch was seasoned with Everything but the Bagel .....
The other half an oatmeal/cinnamon concoction we created.

Homemade bagels...freshly boiled/baked are absolute perfection.
If you've never made them, you should. You will not be disappointed.
That's all.

Where did you get that adorable coat?...a short tale of how I was awesome for three minutes...and then I wasn't.

It was Saturday. It was busy. It was rainy.
He dropped me off at the door and went to find a parking spot.

I walked into Nordstrom.
I looked at scarves only the Queen of England could afford.
I smelled perfumes. I glanced at new lip colors. I waited.

Then a beautiful twenty-something year old employee of Nordstrom started toward me.
"I looooOOOoooove your coat! Where did you get it from?"
...she, with her pretty hair and perfect make-up asked.

Me:
"Ha. I actually bought it ten years ago, wore it for a while,
gave it to my sister and she just gave it back to me..
this coat is on it's third round.."

Beautiful Girl:
"It looks GREAT on you! I love how you paired it with the floral scarf."

Me:
"Thank you."

Beautiful, Lovely Girl:"Wow..your whole outfit, I mean, you look fabulous!"

Me..{feeling pretty good about my clothing ensemble}:
"Oh..thank you"..blush, blush.

Beautiful, Lovely, Very Sweet Girl: "I bet you've been getting compliments all day!"
{I promise she said this!}

Me..{waving hand confidently}: "Well, ha, no."

Beautiful Girl That I Now Really Liked:
"Well, you really do look great. Love your style giiiirl."

Me...{I'm awesome!} {..I mean, c'mon, she called me giiiirl! }: "Haha..Thank you."

My Beautiful Bestie. What a Doll...Holding A Bottle Of ...Something....
What Is My Beautiful Bestie Holding?
"So I am working with an advanced aging skin care line for women your age..{YOUR AGE?}
and I have this cream that will help smooth out your skin, make your fine lines less noticeable.
It will also start to shrink your pores. I would love to have you sit down, I can
help you apply some...See if you like it?"

At that very moment my phone rang...
"Hey babe, I'm still looking for a parking spot...it's crazy out here!"

Me:
"Umm...actually, my husband is waiting for me...
...but thank you anyway. Maybe some other time."

Stupid Nordstom Employee Who Thought She Could Probably Be My Daughter
And Obviously Just Lost A Contact Lens:

"Have a nice day!"

Me:
"Thanks..You too"

...Oh sure...me and my lines and pores and crows feet and and Dr. Scholls
and TEN YEAR OLD COAT! will have a very.nice.day.

What is that sound? ...the crowd asked as I walked out the doors of Nordstrom.
It was the sound of a deflating head and humbled giiiiirl.

It was 3:30pm...Jeff and I decided to skip shopping and eat an EARLY DINNER.
..since we are "advanced agers" now.
...or at least my skin is.

"How did they know I like scooters?"...whoever you are...it was the BEST-est mail we ever did see!

My sister called me while I was on my way to the library....
... "a SUPER cute box was just delivered for you."

Dear You who sent the beautiful package....
You have NO idea how much you made Frankie's day.
I wish so badly I would have recorded his reaction upon receiving
the most adorable cheeseboard we have EVER seen!

He was SO EXCITED!!! His very own cheeseboard!

Being a great fan of cheeseboards...this was theeeee MOST perfect
gift you could have given to my little boy.

He has eaten every meal on it since...even his cereal bowl was set up on top. {wink}

He kept on asking..."Who sent this to me?"
I told him I'm not sure, but he thanked God for his board when he prayed that night.

...and I'm thanking you now.
Thank YOU!

My girls were so thrilled to...
1. Get mail! ..because, well...who doesn't love mail?
2. Get a pretty and creative necklace. They both love them and {have been}
and will be wearing them often!

They also loved the verses and the darling envelopes everything came in.

Thank you for all you sent to me.
I love it!!! The necklace, the towel. I love them both so much.
Not just because I really do like them, but the thoughtfulness
you have shown makes the gifts even more special.

The time, consideration and money you put into our afternoon surprise was an awesome blessing!
Your written words were special and encouraging...you made our day!

We prayed for you and thanked God for your kindness and generosity!

Whoever you are...Thank You SO VERY much!!!

p.s. I loved all that tissue paper!

Wrapping up the week....a song.an article and did you know coffee beans indeed go bad..like terrible!!!?

Happy, dreary, rainy, windy, cold-after-two-sunny-warm-days, Friday.
{cue cozy blankets and warm coffee again}

The most fun thing happened yesterday....I will tell you about it on Monday.
Let's just say Frankie is a very, very happy little boy.

This article!!! ...yes, YES!
What are we doing to our young boys and men?

This song.  ..so sweet, so romantic.
....can't wait to see them live next week.
{You can buy tickets HERE if you're interested..
..they are opening for one of our Faves..Andrew Belle}

Finally...don't save coffee beans for a year because they are one of your
favorite blends and you hardly go to the coffee shop that sells them because
it's out of the way and parking is a pain in that part of the city and your
husband who usually drops you off at the door so you can run in real quick
isn't with you that often during open hours and you want to try and keep them
and savor them for a long time and...{take breath}....yeah..a year is just too long.
{insert that throwing up emoji that's on my phone but not my computer}

It was the first time I ever dumped an entire pot of coffee...It felt very wasteful...
...especially at 6:50am when it was steaming hot and smelled so good!
But if you tasted it..you would have understood why it had to be done.

Jeff and I are celebrating our anniversary this weekend!
My parents have the kids for the next two days.
{Thank You!!! Mom and Dad!}

We had a good plan...but now we're working on a plan b since the weather
looks like THIS! {insert the crying face emoji}
...{and also, that link is subject to change..Haha}
No matter...I am excited to just be with my husband.alone.for two days!
Even if it's just sitting on the couch eating toast.

Happy Weekend.

Spring while winter still lingers....

Doughnuts with sprinkles and coffee in a French Press.
Snowy branches and a cozy wood stove.
Sunlight on walls and my big boys grilling on a spring{ish} day.
Baby plants growing while we warm up by fires in knit hats.

Spring while winter still lingers....
...and I'm okay with it.

There is much to savor in the cold that I will miss
on those ninety-five degree, August days.

{Like no dealing with mosquitoes.
There was one in my car already! What?!?}

We planted seeds and now they're growing. That's all.

On a chilly, dreary day last week...we planted seeds.
On a chilly, dreary day this week..the seeds began to show life.

Lots of flowers and lots of tomatoes.
We will transplant them two million days from now...
...that is about when the weather will be warm enough.
